Free Math Activities for Students

March 16, 2020

During these uncertain times MANGO Math would like to help. While everything may seem chaotic it's important that students feel safe. One way to do that is to create a schedule so that if your school has closed or is closing, learning can still take place.

(If you would like a PDF of this schedule please email me.) In this schedule we have included a math time, an hour in the day dedicated to math.

We are happy to help create the games and activities that student can do during this time.  I have spent 20 years researching and creating math games and activities that gets students thinking about how math is applied.  I will be sharing these games and activities on our social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter every day.  Please consider following us. Here is today's example.

1st - 2nd grade: How many total blocks are in the structure? hint: some blocks are tricky to count.  Use blocks to help figure out the answer.
3rd - 4th grade: How many faces and vertices are in each structure? face -flat surface of a 3-D shape, vertex -edge where surface meets
5th - 6th grade: What is the volume of each figure? If you were to fit each shape into a box, what would the volume of each box be?

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me at Mary@mangomath.com or call 833-233-MATH.  We all need to support each other.

Enjoy Math!
